1 Allen St, Oakleigh
1 Allen St provides permanent accommodation for twenty-eight adults.
Four bedrooms are available for respite. Active staffing is provided 24
hours per day to people requiring moderate to high levels of support.
The main focus of the service is meeting the needs of the individual in
areas such as daily living, recreation and social development
.

Allen St, Oakleigh
9 Allen St provides permanent accommodation for fourteen adults requiring
low to medium levels of support. Two bedrooms are available for respite
care. Active staff support is provided 15 hours per day with a sleep over
from 10pm 7am. Residents are encouraged to develop their maximum
potential through daily living programs. These programs are provided in
a home-like environment with the emphasis on meeting the needs of the
resident.
Community
Housing Program
Community based accommodation in 10 houses is provided for
36 adults who have an intellectual disability. The service aims to provide
individuals with opportunities to maintain and develop living skills,
access community activities and experience a lifestyle which is the same
as that of other community members.
Staffing levels vary according
to the support needs of the resident. Two houses provide 8 hours support
per day, with a sleepover staff member from 10pm 7am. Five houses
provide 3 5 hours support 5 days per week and one of these houses
has a lead tenant. Two houses receive minimal support from management
and one of these houses has a lead tenant.
It is an expectation that residents have some form of employment or retirement activity as there are no staff on duty during the day.
Respite
Care Facility Based
Respite beds are available at 1
& 9 Allen Street, Oakleigh. The respite service aims to provide respite
care to adults with an intellectual disability. Respite users can access
the service from a weekend to a month. Bookings are requested in advance.
Respite users are charged a daily accommodation fee.
